The Piquant Palate was created for those who appreciate bold flavors, sophisticated food displays, and a space to gather. “Piquant” means a “pleasantly stimulating taste” or a “flavor that is exciting to the mind.” If that sounds intriguing, then I’d love to work with you!

The Piquant Palate specializes in curating graze tables and charcuterie displays for private events in the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho regional area. The intention is to create a stunning space at your event to taste fabulous foods, while building community with one another.

ABOUT ME.

Hi, I’m DANI CARLSON.

I wear many hats, often at the same time… I am a part-time stay-at-home mama of two (soon-to-be three), wife, daughter, HR professional, lifelong learner, PhD recipient, and more.  More than anything, I adore delicious and beautiful food and I have been creating graze tables for private events for years.  After working behind a desk for more than a decade in a corporate office, I decided to turn my passion into a business!  I hope I can help curate a charcuterie experience that will wow your friends, family, peers, and everyone in between.
